Supporting Families with Remote Learning
At Allscott Meads Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child can continue to access high-quality education, even during periods of remote learning. Our remote learning strategy is designed to provide a consistent, supportive, and engaging learning experience that aligns with our in-school curriculum.
Arrangements for Remote Learning
To deliver an effective remote learning programme, we use Microsoft Teams for all aspects of remote learning:
Microsoft Teams:
- Live lessons for whole-class teaching, ensuring pupils can interact with their teacher in real-time.
- Small group discussions and interventions to provide targeted support and maintain a sense of connection.
- Opportunities for pupils to ask questions, engage in discussions, and share their learning uploaded directly to Teams, where pupils can submit work and receive feedback.
Key Features of Our Remote Learning Offer
- Daily Timetable: Pupils will receive a structured timetable to ensure consistency and routine, mirroring the school day as closely as possible.
- Interactive Lessons: Live sessions on Microsoft Teams will cover key subject areas and provide opportunities for discussion and collaboration.
- Independent Learning: Learning and resources uploaded to Microsoft Teams will encourage independent learning and skill development.
- Personalised Support: Small group interventions and one-to-one support will be available for pupils requiring additional help.
- Wellbeing Activities: Activities and resources to support pupils’ emotional and mental health will be provided alongside academic tasks.
Expectations for Pupils and Families
Pupils:
- Attend live lessons on Microsoft Teams, ready to participate and engage.
