EDUCATION

Homework

Continuously learning, outside the classroom.

Pupils are expected to read at least five times a week at home as this will support them to make the very best progress as they transition through their Reading journey.

All Reception children practice their phonics daily and can access Big Cat Collins Scheme books online to support their regular Reading.

All pupils from year 1 to year 6 are given weekly Spellings to practise at home, these are supported by access to online platforms and games. These will be practised in class throughout the week in preparation for the Spelling test on a Friday.

Pupils from year 1 to 6 can also access online platforms to support their Spelling and Reading from home as well as Maths programmes including Times Table Rockstars.
